A Workshop with Jennie Powell & Mary Stancavage
Oct 6, 2019
2-5pm
Yoga Blend – Burbank
Many of us come to yoga or meditation with defenses around our heart that we’re not aware of. We long for connection but find ourselves pushing others away when that’s the last thing we ever wanted. Mindfulness practice offers us a way to quiet our mind where we can learn to sit with ourselves and discover the stories we tell ourselves. Yoga practice will give a chance experience this tenderness in an embodied way. This is how we learn to melt the armor we’ve built up over the years and cultivate and undefended heart.
In this workshop there will be mindful meditation, Dharma talk, asana, group discussion and quiet time for journaling and individual introspection. Dress comfortably for yoga practice and sitting meditation. No experience require for participation- all are welcome!
Come spend an afternoon in movement and meditation on what keeps you defended and how best to move forward towards peace.
This workshop is accessible to all bodies regardless of experience or physical ability.
